SATAN’S SCHEMING
For 6,000 years Satan has been working his game plan of trapping mankind in sin. If we break only one of God's Ten Commandments, scripture informs us we are guilty of breaking them all. Satan is well aware of scripture and has been studying us, scheming to separate us from God.
Scheming to snare us. Are you deluded? Are you in a trap right now?

Q&A Poisons and our Food Series
QUESTIONS:I have eaten the unclean foods that Pastor Robert has talked about. I need to know…
- Will I be forced to die a very painful death even if I stop eating them now?
- Will God hate me because I never knew what was clean and unclean in His Word?
- Is there some way I can become clean again?
- Will me having eaten unclean foods mean I am rejected and become one who cannot become righteous in Jesus?
- Do demons have more access to attack me when I have eaten what is unclean?
- What makes a person a bad person in God's sight?
Rodney S., (15 years)
Answers:
Thanks for your honest questions, which I will answer one by one.
- Will I be forced to die a very painful death even if I stop eating them now?
No, you will not die a painful death. Simply confess this sin of ignorance and accept the blood of Jesus to wash you clean spiritually. Call on Jesus your Healer (Ex. 15:26) and Redeemer to heal any effects that these unclean foods have caused in your body. All your sins are forgiven, in Jesus' name. You are healed by Jesus' stripes (I Pet. 2:24). God says you will not die but live, declaring the things Jesus has done for you (Ps. 118:17).
- Will God hate me because I never knew what was clean and unclean in His Word?
Absolutely not! On the contrary, while we may suffer the effects of sin, God does not begin to judge us spiritually until we come to the knowledge of that sin (James 4:17; John 9:41). God did not judge you guilty of sin until you found out about unclean foods. By confessing your sins now (I John 1:9), God cleanses you and makes you righteous in His eyes because of Jesus (II Cor. 5:21). God loved us and gave Jesus to die for us while we were yet sinners. His love is unconditional. He is Love.
- Is there some way I can become clean again?
See above. You are clean the very second you ask forgiveness of your Father Love. If David can be completely cleansed after the sin of adultery and murder, how much more can you be washed clean from a sin of which you were not even aware? "Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow," David said in Psalm 51:7 (Isaiah echoes that in Isaiah 1:18). Ask your Father Love for the grace to forgive yourself. Then receive His grace by faith, and say, "I choose to forgive myself, in Jesus' name. I lay down all the pain I caused myself by my unforgiveness to Jesus on the cross."
- Will me having eaten unclean foods mean I am rejected and become one who cannot become righteous in Jesus?
No way! The blood of Jesus cancels out all sin, guilt, shame, and inferiority (Rom. 8:1). You cannot earn Jesus' righteousness; it is a gift! Romans 3:21-24 makes it clear that God gives us "as a gift by His grace" Jesus' righteousness, "the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ." Ephesians 2:8-9 says, "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast." Don't try to do works of penance to "make up" for the sin. Jesus did all there was to do on the cross by His shed blood. He wants you by His grace of empowerment to "go and sin no more," all the while forgiving you whenever you fall again into sin. While He does not condone sin, He has foreknown every sin you will commit, and He has given you the right to claim forgiveness and cleansing by Jesus' blood every time you may miss the mark. He wants you to sin less and less so you can be blessed more and more!
- Do demons have more access to attack me when I have eaten what is unclean?
Yes, but remember the power of Jesus' blood. All uncleanness is cancelled when you confess the sin. If you do slip up and eat unclean meats, purposely or by mistake, simply confess the sin, take communion, and call for the blood of Jesus to neutralize all poisons and toxins in your system. Bind any demons that may have been given legal right and send them to the pit in Jesus' name.
- What makes a person a bad person in God's sight?
I am not comfortable with the term "bad person." God hates the sin a person may commit, but He always loves the person. The biggest mistake we make when we fall into sin or miss the mark of God's perfection is not getting up! Read Micah 7:8. Micah said, "Though I fall, I will rise; Though I dwell in darkness, [Jesus] is a light for me." Getting down on ourselves and condemning ourselves is worse than the sin we may have committed. When you accept Jesus, your spirit man, who is the real you, becomes alive in Jesus after having been dead because of Adam's sin. "But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us [the real us, our spirits] alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved)…" (Eph. 2:4-5). And as Romans 8:10-11 says, "If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of [Jesus' righteousness]. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you." Jesus in you through the Holy Spirit will then give life to your body as well. You will not die, but live, and live the abundant life (John 10:10). Satan tries to steal life by getting us to eat unclean foods; Jesus, however, redeems what the thief has done to us and gives life to our bodies. Jesus dwells in your spirit from the moment you accept Him, and Jesus cannot dwell in something that is evil. He cannot dwell in a "bad person," if you will. Your spirit is now perfect, even if your soul (mind, will, emotions) and body are not yet perfect. Since the real you is a spirit (I Thes. 5:23), it is impossible for you to be a bad person, as long as you keep following Jesus, even imperfectly. God sees Jesus when He looks at you. As long as you are regularly confessing the sins you know about, you are in good standing with God because of Jesus. You, the real you, are more than a "good person." Your spirit is perfect in Jesus. As you learn more about God's feast days on freedomchurchofgod.com, you will discover that keeping the Passover foot washing in the spring washes you clean spiritually of all unrecognized sins of the previous year. Jesus told Peter that having his feet washed made him "completely clean" (John 13:9), meaning clean of all sin, even the ones we have not recognized as sin. If you desire to keep that feast, we come in agreement with you that God will provide someone else to keep the feast with you so that you can wash each other's feet. And even if you are not yet ready to keep that feast, God looks on your heart and attitude (I Sam. 16:7) in your situation as He meets you in mercy where you are. He is the "Father of mercies" (II Cor. 1:3). Your questions show an attitude of wanting to please God, and He is pleased with you. He says to you as He said to His Son Jesus who lives in you, "You are my son in whom I am well pleased." We are also pleased with your attitude and your questions, and we pray that the Holy Spirit will lead you into the truth that makes you free (John 16:13; 8:32).
