Sabbath Keepers, Arise!

Do you really want to ride on Satan’s head and on the heights of the Earth (Isa. 58:13-14)? If you do, you must pay a price many people don’t want to pay. God says that only those who are doers of His Word have a good understanding of it (Ps. 111:10). If they are not willing to obey what Jesus, the Word, says throughout His Word, in both testaments, they will not understand what will happen prophetically in these last days.
Furthermore, they will not understand their power to dominate Satan, and reading about that domination and how it works will be too much for them to take. So perhaps we should give a brief explanation of what it took about 300 pages to explain in Bible Code Broken!—The Truth about the Christian Sabbath.
It’s a thorough book about the Sabbath, and we believe it to be the first one written in plain language and covering all the major points and almost all of the silly, unbiblical excuses people have for rejecting it.
It is really quite simple. Problem is, Satan had a plan to bring warlocks into the church during the Reformation so he could be sure that the daughter churches breaking away from the mother would protest anything but the Sabbath. By the way, we don’t write, “seventh-day Sabbath,” because no such thing as a Sunday Sabbath exists in the Bible.
Furthermore, even if Jesus were resurrected on a Sunday, which we can prove He wasn’t, the Bible never says to celebrate His resurrection on Sunday. Never.
The Sabbath is the Sabbath. Sunday is never called the Sabbath in God’s Word anywhere. Never.
The Sabbath is the seventh day of the week, which can be verified in almost any dictionary or looking at almost any calendar. We say “almost” because Satan is starting already in his end-time effort to change the times and seasons of God. Daniel calls these efforts making “alterations in times and in law” (Dan. 7:25). But for anyone who truly wants to prove all things (1 Thes. 5:21), he or she can do so easily.
The Naval Observatory and other sources have confirmed that the seven-day week has never changed, even if calendar date changes have occurred. Such changes never altered the order of the seven-day week. And it is interesting to note that Jesus kept the seventh day, Friday sunset to Saturday, sunset (Luke 4:16) as the Sabbath He Himself had commanded as a day of rest and church assembly in Genesis 2:1-3, Exodus 20:8, and Leviticus 23:1-3.
When you understand that Jesus, not the Father, was the Word who spoke to men in the First Testament, and thus spoke the Ten Commandments, it’s a lot easier to see the Sabbath truth (John 1:1-18; 5:37).
Most pastors and church members today have been deceived by the Sunday lie, accepting it without searching the Word to prove it. They only twist a few verses to prove their tradition that comes from the mother church—not the Bible. She even told her protesting daughters that very fact at the end of the nineteenth century. You can see it for yourself (http://www.romeschallenge.com/).
Alas, what pastor has the courage to buck his almighty board that really runs things and risk losing the tithe money that pays him by telling the Sabbath truth to his congregation? Precious few indeed.
At this writing neither pastors nor members are able to overcome their fear of change and criticism. The sad truth is that they don’t trust Jesus to provide for them if they step out in faith and obedience to His laws.
Many believe, however, that “the law,” whatever that means to them, is now somehow done away. You must be legalistic, they say, if you contend we should obey the law. Yet if you ask any of these people which law, which one of the Ten Commandments, is no longer to be obeyed today, they will only point to one.
They will agree it is wrong to kill, steal, commit adultery, take God’s name in vain, worship idols, etc. But somehow they find a way to tell you that the Sabbath commandment doesn’t mean what it says.
So they are saying Jesus didn’t mean what He thundered on Sinai. They are saying He is lying when He says He doesn’t change (Heb. 13:8). And they think He was “just whistling Dixie” when He said in John 14:15, “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.” Even the man many say hated the law, Paul, said your race did not matter, but “the keeping of the commandments of God” (1 Cor. 7:19).
Paul made a point here of not saying, “the commandments of Jesus,” which many believe are the only commandments Jesus meant when He said to obey the commandments to show your love for Him. While we know Jesus is God, when Paul used the term “God,” He was not referring only to Jesus.
But all that doesn’t matter to pastors who have rejected the Sabbath that most of them know is the only Sabbath the Bible talks about. It doesn’t matter that Jesus said the Sabbath was made for “man” (Mark 2:27-28), not only the Jew, and that He called Himself the “Divine Master,” as the Greek word based on the Hebrew adonai should be translated, of the Sabbath day.
As Master of the day, He never said not to keep it. In fact, more is written in the gospels about Him keeping the Sabbath than is written about Him keeping any other of the Ten Commandments.
Religious people reject the Sabbath today for different reasons than those religious zealots of Jesus’ day. They rejected the way Jesus kept the Sabbath in the freedom of the Holy Spirit. He left us an example of how to keep the Sabbath as Spirit-filled, New Covenant believers (1 John 2:4-6). Why don’t we?
It doesn’t matter to those who close their eyes to the truth that Hebrews 4:9-10 talks about a Sabbath rest that still remains for God’s people in the New Testament. And no matter how they want to spiritualize and explain that away, it is impossible to rest from our works “as God [Jesus] did from His” in a literal sense unless you are resting on the seventh day of the week as Jesus did in Genesis. While spiritual rest is included in the meaning, the meaning is not complete without the actual, physical rest on today’s Saturday.
Oh, have you heard one of the strangest arguments against the Sabbath? How they take one of the most powerful evidences that the Sabbath will still need to be obeyed in the last days, Matthew 24:20, and turn it totally around to say the opposite of what it is clearly saying is a mystery bound up in an enigma. Jesus was telling His end-time disciples in Judea to pray that they would not have to flee from persecution or to safety on a Sabbath day or in winter.
If winter exists in these last days, the Sabbath would also exist, which it does. Jesus said that while the Earth remains, “summer and winter…shall not cease” (Gen. 8:22). How much more would the Sabbath never cease to exist! It is an eternal covenant between God and man. Jesus made it with Adam, and according to biblical, covenant procedure, God would have to die if He broke the covenant. Adam did, but God can’t and won’t.
In the perfect world Jesus will establish when He returns, all mankind, not just the Jew, will keep the same Sabbath Jesus kept 2000 years ago when He walked the Earth, the same Sabbath the Jews keep today, the Sabbath that is a great blessing, not some curse as many believe.
Read it in Isaiah 66:23. Why would Jesus, who says He doesn’t change, give it to mankind in Genesis, reiterate in Mark 2:27-28 that He gave it to all men, declare that all mankind will keep it in the world Jesus will rule in the soon-to-come Millennium, but then declare it should not be observed from the second century to His return? Does that make any sense? In the world of those blinded by Satan from this simple truth, it somehow does. But it shouldn’t make sense to anyone willing to obey all of the Ten Commandments.
Isn’t it time you began to prepare for Jesus’ return? Isn’t it time you searched the house and found your Bible, blew the dust off it, and actually read and studied it—even obeyed it? If you don’t start to obey the Sabbath and the holy days of God we explain and post on www.freedomchurchofgod.com, you will not be able to grasp what you are about to read. You will not dominate Satan. He will dominate you.

A person must trust the pope who speaks as vickor for Jesus as towhat is right or wrong and he says that the Sabbath keeppers are wrong.

Jennie, And is that what the Bible says to do? God says His Word is truth (John 17:17), not the word of any man unless what that man says is backed by the Bible.

Re: Sabbath Keepers, Arise!
But the pope is the vickor, so he speaks in the place of God to mankind. God has to speak to mankind through the pope and only the pope. So that means when he speak it is the word of God.

Re: Sabbath Keepers, Arise!
I am wondering if the new moon is a monthly Sabbath or is it the full moon. I was told the monthly Sabbath was a very important day?

Re: Sabbath Keepers, Arise!
Is your Sabbath the same as the Jewish Sabbath or is it like the true Sabbath that the Moslems keep?

Re: Sabbath Keepers, Arise!
Jennie, Your view may be popular re: the pope, but it is far from biblical.

Eldun, Our new moon e-book is about to be released, and it goes into all this. The new moon is not a monthly Sabbath nor is it a full moon.

Re: Sabbath Keepers, Arise!
Ours, or God's Sabbath is the same day as the Jewish Sabbath, but they keep it without Jesus in it. The Muslims keep Friday as their Sabbath. It is not God's day, which begins Friday after sunset until Saturday sunset.

Re: Sabbath Keepers, Arise!
Our parish priest said that Jesus kept it perfectly all the law, therefore the Sabbath was allowed to be changed to Sunday to show the we are to walk in grace and not law. See this proves your answer was wrong.

Re: Sabbath Keepers, Arise!
I have been reading comments on this Sabbath subject. It seems that you are saying that we are blessed in the Sabbath. Can we expect this blessing to overcome failures and bring restoration or is it some other type of blessing that does that?

Re: Sabbath Keepers, Arise!
Jeannie, Where do you find this in the Bible? Grace is the empowerment to keep the law of love, which does not change because some man says it does.

Re: Sabbath Keepers, Arise!
Have you noticed that the church calendar does not show the next new moon, doesn't show when praise and worship is so that we can join in.

Re: Sabbath Keepers, Arise!
I got busy reading some interesting things on serveral blog sites, so I almost forgot to ask the main reason I came to this site today. Several of the people who refused to participate in the last Benjamin Fast and they are wondering if another is going to be called? They have been seeing the blessings and favour being poured out on those who participated in the last one. It seems that they are now more in favour of multi-church agreement.

Re: Sabbath Keepers, Arise!
Jews do not see the Sabbath as a path to the Savior, we see the day through legalism so that it is more Holy and Self glorifying than the Eternal God. We do not see the grace of God as open for us to enjoy the loving kindness of God.
