How Low Can We Go? (Prophecy Article for our Website)

The U.S. Senate has voted for a plan that repeals the military’s ban on bestiality. What made matters even worse was the president’s press secretary’s reaction to a question about the overturn of this ban. He answered, “Let’s get to something more serious.”

Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann commented, “Have we lost our minds? We’re talking about the military! Our military men and women!”

God clearly forbids it, and under the First Testament system of administration in a theocratic government, He said, “Whoever lies with an animal shall surely be put to death” (Ex. 22:19).

He also says, “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness… For they have rejected the law of the [Eternal] of hosts And despised the word of the Holy One of Israel” (Isa. 5:20, 24b). God further declares, “Woe to those who enact evil statutes…” (Isa. 10:1).

The United States is making it clearer each day how deep they are digging their grave. God has withheld His protection from this once-believing nation, and He will soon, very soon, allow it to reap what it has sown, judgment and destruction.

God is not mocked. Whatever we sow, we will reap (Gal. 6:7). And the unthinkable harvest is ripe. A nation that thumbs its nose at God cannot survive. The die is cast. The seeds of destruction have been sown, and there is no longer any space for wholesale, national repentance.

The good news is that God plans another harvest, a great harvest of souls in these last days. It is written in Ezekiel 9:4: “[Jesus] said to him, ‘Go through the midst of Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads of the men who sigh and groan over all the abominations which are being committed in its midst.”

Jesus said, “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted” (Mat. 5:4).

Are you part of the politically correct, tolerant crowd, bowing to the prevailing opinion approved by the mass media and the government? Are you a friend of the world, or a friend of God? Do you stand for immorality and the “anything goes” maxim, or do you stand for Jesus and His Word?

Whether or not you will escape the judgment coming on our Western nations will be determined by your answer to the above questions (Luke 21:36).
Let’s get to something more serious indeed, something more serious than the silly political correctness that has polluted our society. Let’s get serious about what God says in His Word, or we will pay the price the rebellious nations will pay.

The choice is ours. It is a life and death choice. Here’s what Jesus says in Deuteronomy 30:19: “I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants.”

Those who choose life are the light of the world and the salt of the Earth. Their presence and their prayers give hope for a world to come soon where God’s laws of love will be respected, upheld, and obeyed. Those powerful blessings are just around the corner. Jesus is poised to return soon and bring love and peace to the world because of those who mourn for the sins the world commits.
